Boca Juniors' prolijo, patient attack filled the opposing field with its own jerseys as it crossed midfield. Diego Martínez's Boca Juniors started their preparation for the season opener with their first friendly against local side Gimnasia y Tiro.
Boca Juniors took the lead in the second half with a goal from substitute striker Nicolás Orsini. The goal came after a well-worked move involving several Boca players. Orsini's goal was enough to give Boca the 1-0 victory.
The match was a good workout for both teams as they prepare for the start of the new season. Boca Juniors will next face Club Atletico Banfield in a friendly on 18th of January. Gimnasia y Tiro will host Newell's Old Boys on 16th January.
